Distributed Control System DCS-TEG
About system
Distributed Control System (TEG) DCS - TEG consists of many devices distributed in space, each of which is independent of others, but interacts with them to perform a common task.
The "set of devices" may be any microprocessor devices, such as a PLC or spatially distributed input/output modules of single controller. However, in the latter case, only data collection can be considered distributed, while control function is concentrated in single controller.
Maximum benefits of distributed system are achieved when controllers operate autonomously and exchange of information between them is kept to a minimum.
Advantages of the system
Advantages of the system
-
Performance is increased by distributing tasks between parallel processors
-
Increased reliability (failure of one controller does not affect performance of others)
-
High fault tolerance
-
Easy expansion or reconfiguration of system
-
Simplified upgrade procedure
-
Simplicity of design, configuration, diagnostics and maintenance due to correspondence of system architecture to architecture of control object, as well as relative simplicity of each of system modules
-
Improved noise immunity and accuracy due to reduced length of analog signal transmission lines from sensors to input devices
-
Less volume of cable products, reduced requirements for cable and lower cost
-
Less costs for installation and maintenance of cable systems
Distributed control system DCS-TEG is an advanced control system for modern enterprises and has wide possibilities for modernization, including not only improvement of equipment, sensors and controllers, but also the structure itself, developing a new architecture of distributed control systems with interlocking based on SCADA .
